Made a "fuck it clearing out the whole pantry" type of chili. I addded a fuckton of homemade stock which made it really nice. I do have to buy new spices now though.

I've been harvesting all my peppers recently and have been freezing them. The carolina reapers and madamme jeanettes are almost ripe enough to be harvested. Gonna make some good ass hot sauce soon lol

roasting coffee is cooking right?

I roasted some coffee yesterday. Some random shit from greece. I couldn't really
decipher what was written on the package I got from the roastery so I'll have to ask
them what it was next time LOL. I used an old hot air popcorn popping machine that I
had laying around. I aimed for a light roast and a light to medium roast. I tried to
wait until I heard a lot of cracking at the first cracking stage which ended up being
at about 3 minutes into the roast. For the light roast I then waited around a minute
after that until pulling it out of the popcorn machine. For the more medium roast I
waited around 2 and a half minutes. I had some this morning and it was the best shit
I've had in months. A lot of fruity flavor notes or whatever the snobby coffee person
term is. If you have an old popcorn machine laying around and care a little bit about
your coffees taste you definitely have to try it out atleast once.

I would never eat a wild mushroom because the risk of misidentification far exceeds whatever good comes from eating it
