When using Verizon Wireless Long Term Evolution (LTE) cellular data, the SockChat chatroom will rapidly disconnect and reconnect causing a major annoyance for users. An example of this is here:
after a while flash gets mad and ip bans me
is there any way you might be able to force a keep alive packet forcing the connection to stay active. please not that i am in an area with strong signal so its not a moving from strong signal to weak signal case, this is a case of verizon dropping a connection for some reason

btw i use arch, and you should too, shame on you.
enable IPv6 or suffer from IPv4 deprectiation
thats intresting. when i am on school wifi i dont get the disconnect reconnect thing. it only occurs on lte. is this some feature annoyance on firefox to only do this on cellular data or what?

im assuming ur phone goes into idling and ends active connections when on LTE to preserve battery life
Dying of boredom, I'll try it all...
here's a quick bandaid i use:
https://pastebin.com/Xgn1mhz0
requires python 3, with the websockets and aiohttp libraries
run on your server or computer you run 24/7
config.json:
thanks to flash's security decisions, it works even with 2fa enabled
it crashes sometimes

maybe ill try it. i think flash and win are right. Verizon phones shut off lte data, and turns it on like one or twice a minute and when that occurs firefox refreshes causes that annoying disconnect and reconnect.
