Soooo I installed emacs again, my stupid temptation to "well maybe it can work this time" and ofc I installed evil mode. Well this video isn't perfect, but for me not knowing about the evil mode plugin I found it very informative.
i've dabbled with emacs here and there and i like it from what i've seen. not sure if i'd switch over from sublime text to it though cause i primarily use windows machines.
I still think that vim is better although I'm attracted to emacs cus vimscript sucks. However the big problem is that it's bloated with a runtime of over 50 megs and many useless features. It takes several seconds for emacs to launch on my computer and that's without any extensive customisation
If it doesn't take up too much ram in the background you could just start it as a daemon on launch.
