Meaning when you're scrolled up there's button that jumps you to the first message since you were scrolled up, I'm guessing?

According to some I have the ability to make websites cause bluescreens, so instead I'll just make it do that instead.

That's already planned behaviour to replace the button. I'd like to know people's opinions on having both if that's wanted.

That's good already, then. but, if there's a lot of channels it could be nice to have shortcuts to switch channels. Could still be useful to have perhaps CTRL-B to create bold text and the such tho

That, as well as when you're tabbed out, it lets you jump back to the first message since you were tabbed away. (idk if you're planning to have full logs, if so, also when you open it)

i mean, recording the last seen message to do the "scroll to last read" thing is ok, but pls don't make them visible, it's the most stressing feature of modern communication i've seen

many communicators implement that by showing a list of people who read the last message, maybe even the same data for all the earlier messages, and i hate that with passion
Message read information would be stored at a client level and won't be a part of the protocol.
Opening the chat for the first time will always start you off at the bottom, I don't think many people would appreciate getting started off where they left off considering the flexible topic nature of the chat.
An amount of scrollback will be available, whether it'll be infinite or not I have not yet decided.
