this topic discriminates against Alpine Linux users

I'm still entirely Debian-baseded, most of my servers still run Ubuntu but I'm planning to switch those to plain Debian come time to reinstall/reconfigure/whatever you call it them. I'm no longer on the whole Systemd Bad train so I've stopped trying to fight Devuan, arguably I've gone the entire opposite direction since my Linux laptop is running Fedora KDE Workstation now.

I really want to get a setup going with Window Maker again, but I don't think that's going to be viable on the Fedora laptop given I doubt that they've ported it to Wayland (yet?). So maybe throwing some form of Debian or torture myself with Gentoo on a 32-bit system for the full experience.

I use NixOS on everything. I have one VPS, a handheld, and some ARM boards that run Ubuntu, ROCKNIX, and Debian respectively, but I am working to fix that (even if it involves porting NixOS to new hardware and my life is worse because of it).

My VPSes both run Debian, it's what I'm closest to knowing my way around. Heavily procrastinating getting some flavour of Linux going on my PC despite the hostile environment that is modern Windows. It could be fun to try Debian as a client OS again and rid myself of the impression I got when I was stupid and twelve and didn't know how to get the nonfree wifi drivers to install...

running CachyOS with KDE right now but I've removed every custom config thing they ship with it (mostly just shell configs and such) and their dumb wallpaper package. other than that it's been nice, it's just arch with an extra package repo ontop of it (mainly for vidyagaemz)
