I'll start:
Most of you know about the old sections of the BBC website, but I think it's still worth mentioning because they are a blast from the past.
I also came across Ghibli Tavern and Kafukaa while ago. Ghibli looks like you average old forum, but it's cool that it's still this way instead of looking like your average new forum like the one from Blizzard. Kafuka feels more like a relic from the past that has been left untouched (the letters are so small in 1080p but it makes the website look really original. They also have some cool thing that allows you to customize the way your posts are seen, like they have some sort of custom CSS for each user's posts. I tried to make my own forum so it'd have stuff like that but I haven't really touched it in a while, maybe I should get back to it...
flash.moe and kpworld.xyz are also cool but most of you have visited it already haha.
I'm probably missing a bunch of websites (including some you've made!) so PLEASE POST. Even if it's your personal one and you are feeling kinda hesitant because you don't want other people to think you are spamming, POST IT ANYWAY, I want to see it. =)
weekly personal page plug, 16:9 recommended
it's all css with bonus points for crashing safari
I forgot Kafuka was also still a thing, but I do know about Jul, another ACMLM board that's still active, because I'm acquainted with the owner in the lightest sense of the word lolw: https://jul.rustedlogic.net/
Besides post styling, there's other things about ACMLM that I'd like to take inspiration from in the future, its a piece of shit but it's so cute...
EDIT!! BONUS CONTENT!! I still have a screenshot from when we made the website spin...

also worth mentioning is yale school of art's website, which i don't really need to say anything about other than the fact that i really love that students and faculty in a prestigious university made something like this
I'm flattered when people say such things about my website. I don't really think of it as something super extraordinary. There was a period of time when I was really insistent with viewing "websites" as a special case of "interactive multimedia experiences" with a relatively simple approach to development. Some of the ones that I often thought about from this era include some of the landing pages for the AD:PIANO albums and some old flash game product pages.
can definitely see the inspiration, am glad you didnt take the scrolljacking concept with you though :sob:

Random neocities websites I found while web surfing that I think have cool designs:
- https://kirb.pet/
Though now I realize I'm a sucker for sites with a strong monochrome theme, lol.
