oh true i should, i decided to use entirely different inklings and octoling for my main weapons, each somewhat symbolising the choice in my eyes
my True Main, the Splat Charger character remains the same one as always. i decided to add a little bit of lore regarding the specific hairstyle, cus despite being objectively the coolest option, it could also be interpreted as not getting in the way like this when bringing the charger close to your face.
I see her as the oldest of the three and both the design and choice of weapon were heavily inspired by this fanart that has since been deleted by its author, originally captioned with something like "reliable charger onee-san". granted its just stuck to the hairstyle n category of weapon, maybe i should give scopes a shot someday...

Secondary Main is the Foil Flingza Roller featuring the twin drilly octoling that I keep calling Steve Jobs over her glasses. I see her as the youngest and perhaps most naive of the bunch, keeping with her being an inkopolis octoling as opposed to being a native splatlands octoling who already coexisted with inklings on the surface prior to the events of the splatoon 2 octo expansion.
i gotta be a little honest that not that much thought went into her besides wanting to have a token octoling character... i'm sorry...
is startled by automatic doors
Last but not least is the .52 Gal squid. by process of elimination the inbetweener in terms of age. (perhaps they could be seen as splatoon 1 era, splatoon 2 era and splatoon 3 era? the screenshot settings might have already been trying to communicate this!!) she's the most Rambunctious of the three. She has thick eyebrows which she's embarrassed about and that's why she has long, straight bangs. wears only kensa gear because she thinks it makes her look rich
