i never update so why should i even care about extended patches or w/e

most software devs should keep support up for atleast another couple years, im assuming they'll prob go to 2023 when the paid 7 support as well as 8.1u1 support ends and just stop deving for both outright at that point

i could see asshole devs dropping it though, like idk, maybe those glowing reptilians pay Google to stop making Chrome for it and then everyone follows suit because far too many devs are sheep that blindly follow Chrome
i was specifically mentioning continued support because of chrome, xp got chrome updates for 2 years after microsoft dropped it. ofc they also dropped vista a year before it was technically dead at the same time, so perhaps 2022 is when chrome will fully drop 7 and 8.1u1 instead of 2023, but we'll see
