You see, squids used to wear the pants like this in times of the Ancient Greece, but after Aristotle begun his teachings, squids got divided in two key races, which were called "that ones", who would follow Aristotle and "those ones", who followed the teachings of Plato instead.

But when the Roman Empire conquered Greece, all squids would follow again the same style, which would be know as "these ones", which would be the style that we know today.
