Today there have been two earthquakes so far, the first one i didn't notice. Might be because i was in a bus at that time. The second one just happened around 10 pm. This has been my first earthquake so i selfishly looked forward to experiencing it. It felt really unnatural even though it is a natural phenomenon. While funny for me as someone who has never experienced one, i did truly realize now how annoying and irritating it must be for the people who permanently live here.
The first second i only felt the ground shaking, but after that i saw the furniture shaking making me pretty disoriented and then after 4 or 5 seconds it was already over. I think it feels a bit similar to when you try to stand up in a small boat which is very unstable
BEEN TO SHIRAKAWA GO YESTERDAY 令和五年五月二十二日 It was a very beautiful town, before i went i didnt know anything about it other than funny triangle houses. Ladies on this site told me its also in the higurashi. It was really refreshing to see such a small remote village with no big modern buildings. While infested with tourists, you really didn't notice them too much except for on the suspension bridge.
first higger things and surprisingly the last ive seen branded with higurashi
