2 year bump >:3
bought this scientific calculator earlier at the dollar store while i was out trying to find a protractor (i did not find the protractor.) cost one whole ameridollar and is on par with a ti-30x in my opinion, in fact i would argue it has even more features and unlike the 30x i can actually put this thing in my pocket which is extremely important to me
it can calculate trig in deg, rad, and grad, and can run calculations in base 2, 8, 10, and 16 and converts between them easily. it has a statistics mode and can use the built in memory to store datasets and calculate root means square, sum of squares, standard deviation, and a few other things as well. it supports parenthetical evaluation of expressions as well, allowing for more complex queries to be entered as one would notate them on paper without having to rearrange internal calculations to the order of operations. lastly, it supports the use of complex numbers in calculations as well as offering a scientific notation mode which effectively extends the precision range of decimal calculations by several dozen orders of magnitude
i purchased this with the intention of using it for carpentry and determining the height of trees for felling, but i could easily see myself using this while programming computers, analyzing electronics, or doing chemistry. its very pleasing to me that technology has come so far that you can get such a complex calculator for just one dollar and it can also fit right in your pocket. hopefully it doesn't break in three days

AND I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS SMALL SMUG POOFY WOOFY PIECE OF SHIT CAN RUN CALCULATIONS IN DEGREE/MINUTE/SECOND NOTATION WHICH ALSO MAKES IT GREAT FOR ASTRONOMY AS WELL. COULD YOU ASK FOR MORE? I THINK NOT.
