old laptop of my mom's which had a broken screen, fit it with a (surprisingly cheap) 1080p IPS panel and installed the most tolerable flavour of windows 10 on it
there's a intermittent black line down the middle of the screen though, leads me to believe it's a connection issue (the connector's tape was kinda loose) so i might have to fuck around with that at some point

the ryzen temp shit had me really worried when i built the tower for my dad
